OUHKS co-hosted the inaugural Oxford China's Tango with the World Summit with student-run think tank China PAIR. With notable speakers such as Xue Zhaofeng, renowned economist, and Rana Mitter, Director of the China Centre at the University of Oxford, 400 delegates in attendance and over 500,000 people on live stream, the Summit was a resounding success.
SOCIAL EVENTS
OUHKS is first and foremost a community for Hong Kong students in Oxford; a home away from home. Each term, we organize various social events for students to get together and forge lasting friendships. These include our Annual Dinner, the Oxmas Formal, and Chinese New Year Dinner (團年飯), among many others.
CAREER EVENTS
OUHKS is also a network of opportunities for our members. With alumni connections across the UK and Hong Kong, and sponsored by leading international firms and businesses, OUHKS members can take advantage of our ever-expanding network and springboard into their careers.
ACADEMIC EVENTS
OUHKS being a student society is inextricably linked with academics. In addition to the Oxford China's Tango with the World Summit co-hosted with China PAIR, we also organize other academic talks for our members designed to enrich their academic outlook and understanding.
SPORTS EVENTS
Spearheaded by our Sports Secretary, our sports events are fun get-togethers with friends over a game of sport. We also participate in matches against Cambridge over the Summer vacation.
